PlanBee provides entire ready-to-teach lessons for KS1 and KS2 and is a lifeline for teachers who want to teach exciting, stimulating and challenging lessons without spending hours on planning. Each PlanBee lesson is designed to be flexible enough to meet the needs of your class but structured enough to provide everything you need to deliver lessons with the minimum of preparation.
What are PlanBee lessons like?Each PlanBee lesson contains:
- a detailed lesson plan
- informative slides for the teaching input
- a main activity differentiated three ways
- an alternative activity that is often more kinaesthetic or group-led
- all the resources needed to support the lesson, such as worksheets, picture cards, information sheets, quizzes or games.
All PlanBee lessons are carefully written to ensure that National Curriculum standards are met, with links to the National Curriculum objectives noted on each lesson plan.
What subjects does PlanBee cover?
PlanBee offers lessons across a range of subjects, including History, Geography, Art, DT, RE and Science. Each separate scheme of work has between five and seven individual lessons, giving you enough material to teach an entire half-term’s work. It also offers additional resources for Festivals and Holidays, as well as word searches and crosswords to compliment other PlanBee modules.
What are PlanBee’s cross-curricular topics like?
PlanBee’s cross-curricular topics provide entire lessons across a range of subjects, such as History, Geography, Art, DT, RE and Science, giving you and your class a complete overview of the topic being studied. With plenty of opportunities for creativity, research, problem-solving, reading and writing, they are the perfect basis for a creative approach to the curriculum. Popular PlanBee topics include The Wild West, World War II, The Victorians, Under the Sea, Ancient Egyptians and Space. These cross-curricular topics are proving a real hit with teachers across the UK!
How does PlanBee work?
The PlanBee website is completely free to join. All you need to do is enter a few details to become a member of the hive. Once you have joined, you can purchase the resources you need from an individual lesson (£2.99) to an entire cross-curricular topic. The resources are available to download from your PlanBee account immediately. All you need to do is ensure you have Adobe Reader and QuickTime Player. Both of these programmes are completely free to download and there are links to them on the PlanBee website.
