Introduce marble madness into your classroom by building a marble run.

Marbles

Who doesn’t love a game of marbles? And if you consider yourself as champion standard you might fancy joining 140 serious competitors all vying for championship status at the World Marble Championships on Good Friday. Don’t be fooled – the marble championships are much more than just a bit of harmless fun, they’ve been held at The Greyhound pub in Tinsley Green since 1932, with competitors taking the whole thing very seriously.

Competition rules state that 49 marbles should be placed inside the ring, with the first person or team (teams consist of six players) knocking 25 outside the circle with their shooting marble (tolley), going through to the next round.
