Time to raid those kitchen cupboards again! This month, reach for some easily accessible liquids and solids to help your class learn about reversible and irreversible changes. From mixing to dissolving, food preparation provides great opportunities to observe many of the chemical and physical changes children need to know about. Demonstrate freezing, melting, boiling and cooling with the aid of a freezer and kettle. Download the accompanying online activity sheets to help children develop their investigative skills.
