Teddy the Tortoise was only two years old when he decided to go for a walk and got lost. He knew he was lost when he suddenly saw lots of things he hadn’t seen before, like the big, red fence and the small, yellow garden hut. He was just about to start crying for his mummy when he saw a huge black, scary, hairy dog. He closed his eyes and shut his mouth and hoped that it would disappear, but when he opened his eyes, the big, scary dog was right there, beside him.

‘Hello mate, are you lost, you look a bit frightened, can I help you?’ Teddy didn’t know what to say. He just stared at the huge dog and blinked.

‘Are you lost mate?’ the dog asked again. Teddy just nodded, not sure what to say or what to do.

‘Tell me where you live and I’ll show you how to get home,’ said the big, black hairy, scary dog.

‘I live with my mummy,’ said Teddy.
