Girl witch

If you’re looking for a love potion, a spell to bestow untold wealth, or a witches’ brew to turn your enemies into frogs, you should think about heading to the town of Catemaco in Mexico. Every March, this pretty Mexican town hosts a witchcraft convention, attended by hundreds of mystical beings from all over Mexico.

Witchcraft traditions in this part of Mexico go back centuries, with beliefs and traditions from a range of cultures all mixing together to make this an area of great historical interest for anyone interested in those things mystical. Every year, shamans, witches and healers from all over Mexico arrive in Catemaco to perform a mass cleansing ceremony designed to rid them of the previous year’s negative energies.
