Explore the differences between modern schools and schools from the past with these cross-curricular classroom ideas.

Your school in the past

Whatever its age your own school will have a history your class can investigate. There will be members of staff, parents and friends who will have memories to share. Your school may have log books, photographs and other records that your class can access and some children will have family members who attended your school. Use Activity sheet , ‘Schools in the past’, to either investigate the history of your school or to find out about school in parents’ or grandparents’ day.
