Seeing off stagnation (part 1)

Use practical ideas to breathe life into those areas in your setting that have become invisible.

Learning environments are the stages on which our children develop, flourish and excel. Ensuring they remain vibrant is essential, but it is all too easy to neglect certain spaces, allowing them to stagnate.

This can happen to any area, of course, if you are not careful. However, in my experience there are four in particular that often stand out as key offenders:
  • book area
  • sand
  • water
  • painting area
