Discover how one of Britain’s most powerful female leaders fought against Roman authority

This new series is intended to introduce interesting and unusual people from history. This month, the picture resource on page 42 and the accompanying information and activities, will help children learn about Boudicca, the British Queen of the Iceni.

The history

The Celts kept no written records, so much of our information about Boudicca comes from the later writings of Roman historians, Tacitus and Dio Cassius.
