In this latest instalment of the top secret science investigation series, we again ask for your class – working as laboratory assistants, to help us solve some tricky science problems on behalf of Science Spies, a secret science organisation fighting to save the world!
In this instalment, the Science Spies lab assistants are required to investigate static electricity, which materials give an electric charge and how static electricity can be used to move objects. This is a simple classroom activity, low on resources, which can be easily recorded, making a good introduction to the subject of electricity as well as making for a fun, hands-on group activity. The following activity works well with the class divided into groups – approximately four to five children. Now the investigation is ready to begin!

A-ma-zing!
Not to sound too much like a beer advert but.. probably the best Science lesson I have ever taught! Children absolutely loved it, taking the part of the agents and doing detective work around school. Adding a few props made it even more real and it was a brilliant start to the Science topic. Comes highly recommended!
