Celebrate the harvest this September
Taking place in September and October, harvest festival is a celebration of foods
- such as apples, potatoes and grains - that are harvested from the land. The festival dates back to Pagan times, when offerings and sacrifices were made to the gods in the hope of ensuring another fruitful harvest. Harvest is a wonderful opportunity to remind children of where the food they comes from.
