Children making bunting

If you want to hold the attention of 30 six-year-olds on a wet Wednesday morning, an interesting and stimulating lesson is vital. Using a creative curriculum with the freedom of topic-based teaching will make planning exciting lessons a lot easier. Due to its prescriptive nature, you may find this difficult with numeracy but the following lesson suggestions should get your children up and learning without a activity sheet in sight.

Activities

  1. Pegging out patterns
  2. Number lines
  3. Roll up, roll up
