November is the month for Bonfire Night. Go outdoors in your wellies and enjoy some firework-themed activities

Bonfire bonanza

Fireworks

Invite the children to simulate the colours of a Bonfire Night sky. Spread a long strip of lining paper out on the ground and secure it with stones at each end. Using individual buckets or containers of water and large paintbrushes, encourage the children to cover the whole surface with brushstrokes of water. Provide small plastic dishes of different-coloured powder paint and teaspoons. Show the children how to scoop some paint on to the teaspoon and to scatter the paint on to the wet paper, and then watch it explode into a feast of colours.
