Teachers’ notes: Photocopy the cards showing scenes from the story. Also provide the children with sets of the shilling cards (ensure there are more than one of each expression). Discuss the pictured scenes and get the children to decide which expression might match the shilling’s feelings at that time. Does everyone agree?
