Shape and space – guess the pattern

Working in pairs, provide children with a set of these game cards and some red, brown, blue and yellow cubes. Children begin by placing the ‘you will need’ card on the table – which tells them the cubes they will need. Cards 1 to 4 are then shared between the two children. Working together, the pairs have to use their clues to build the correct sequence of cubes. This is a very good activity for developing speaking and listening skills.
