Year 6 includes two sample lessons linked to the 100 Lessons Music Planning Guide. ‘Rhythm and number patterns’ links directly to Year 6, Spring 1. Children are asked to maintain a complex rhythmic ostinato against a number of contrasting parts. In ‘Create and compose’, children are asked to compose a piece with contrasting sections. This lesson links directly to work in Year 6, Summer 2.

Year 6 music
Clear, easily accessible plan backed up with resources. Looks like a resource that might encourage those who are a little reluctant to teach music!
