Where’s Hamish?

Cut out two copies to make eight pictures for an action game. Place one set of pictures in the four corners of a room and place the second set of pictures in a basket for a child to hold, while pretending to be Mr or Mrs Grinling. Encourage the rest of the children to imagine that they are Hamish, scampering around and looking for somewhere to stay. Mr or Mrs Grinling should call out ‘Hamish’ then the children should scamper into one of the four corners of the room, pretending to hide. Mr or Mrs Grinling should then reveal one of the cards in the basket at random. All the ‘Hamish’s’ in the same hiding place are considered found and eliminated from the game. Continue in the same way until one ‘Hamish’ is left.
