Teachers’ notes: Eight-jewel pudding is a popular Chinese dish (cooked rice pudding decorated with eight types of candied or dried fruits and nuts). Ask the children to imagine that they are a chef and can make their very own eight-jewel pudding for a special occasion. Children can pick their own favourite fruits and nuts to add, or create a fun fantasy pudding with chips and ketchup! Get the children to draw their ideas on the pudding outline and then complete the key, labelling their chosen toppings.
