Make a statement with calypso

Can you think of a calypso which you could adopt as the school song – or perhaps a topical subject that you could write your own school calypso around? You could have a verse and chorus structure, which could allow different groups to write a verse each, always returning to the chorus. Use some of the ideas from the class piece to add accompaniment patterns and perform it to the rest of the school.
